SUMMARY OF POSITION: The 2nd Shift Shop Assistant role is designed to support the lead mechanic in the maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of vehicles and machinery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sharpen mower blades
- Pick up parts and supplies
- Light routine repair/maintenance such as oil changes and tire repair/replacement
- Clean and wash equipment and vehicles inside and out
- Fueling mowers and trucks
- Safety / Security awareness and support with building and grounds maintenance
- Shop clean up
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of lawn and landscaping equipment preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environment
- Delivers quality work and services
- Lift heavy objects for prolonged periods of time
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Maintain good attendance and report to work on time everyday
